How to hang a wall mounted coat rack, welly boot rack, and garden tool storage rack

Hanging a wall mounted coat rack, welly boot rack, and garden tool storage rack requires careful planning and the right tools to ensure they are secure and properly aligned. Here is a step-by-step guide:

Tools Needed

• Drill
• Screwdriver
• Spirit Level

 2. Find internal wooden spacers/studs:

• • Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall. A stud finder is a small electrical device that measures the density of your wall. Make sure you have it on the wall vertically and press the button, it is now measuring the density.  Slowly move it across the wall.  When it beeps mark that point, and continue moving the stud finder in the same direction to find the other side of the stud. Do this across the wall in the area what you want to hang your Welly boot rack or other type of rack.  Again mark these points.  Mounting into studs provides the most secure hold. If you can’t mount into studs, use appropriate wall anchors.

3. Mark the Holes:

• • Hold the rack up to the wall at the desired location.
